Kim Carver is a 22-year veteran television professional who has successfully launched, grown and managed multiple international television networks and sports programming ventures. As vice president and general manager of The Mtn., she is using her experience to develop and grow the first 24-hour sports network devoted to a single collegiate athletic conference, the NCAA Division I Mountain West Conference.

From 2004 to 2006, she served as vice president of network presentation for ESPN STAR Sports in Singapore. From 1995 to 2003, Carver worked in Sydney, Australia, as program manager for GALAXY Television's Premier Sports Network and as program operations manager for FOXTEL. She then served as general manager for Main Event Television. Kim began her international television career with STAR Television in Hong Kong, where she worked in a variety of roles managing multi-million dollar sports productions from 1991 to 1994.

A Colorado native, Kim is a graduate of the University of Denver, where she earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications. In 1984, she began her career in Golden, Colorado, where she spent seven years as a production assistant for JPI Productions Inc, a live sports production company. There she learned the industry from the ground up, working as the character generator operator for a four-camera mobile van and assistant camera operator.

Kim, her husband Craig Velenski, and their son, Ryan, moved from Singapore in August of 2006 to launch The Mtn.
